Working with mobile equipment can be dangerous.
I have experienced it first-hand having worked with mobile equipment operations for over 30 years but also as the victim of a tragic workplace accident and the amputation of my leg.
My accident could have been prevented but still happens today. That is why I share my lived experience of the short and long-term consequences of a preventable accident and the impact on everyone and everything around you.

About Me - Darrin Lingard
My career started as a diesel fitter working on large mobile equipment, but a tragic workplace accident changed everything.
My leg was amputated and my world turned upside down. My accident was preventable but still happens today. I now share this story and the lived experience of a lifetime of consequences in the hope I can inspire people to look at safety differently - as a way of protecting what matters.
Since my accident, I have spent decades learning and building my skills specialising Mobile Equipment Management and delivery of Operational Excellence. In addition, I have grown my leadership to become an Executive Leader overseeing large scale operations, innovation and transformation.
My passion is Safety and Mobile Equipment Management - both go hand in hand
My core mission for this business is simple:
